Cousins! I sometimes forget that John and Jesus were cousins. They MUST have spent time together as children – surely.
When Mary learned she was pregnant through the Holy Spirit she went STRAIGHT to Elizabeth’s house – so it seems very likely that whilst they were children Jesus and John would have known each other.
And then John heads into the Wilderness and, Like Jesus, we lose track of what happened to him until this moment…
I wonder what thoughts and feelings surrounded this reunion!
